The recent two-day visit of Thomas Shannon, one of top U.S. diplomat, in Bolivia may be one of the signs that the two countries will be willing to replenish their ties after almost three years of spat diplomatically.
Diplomacy between both countries began to shake when US ambassador Philip Goldberg was expelled from Bolivia of being accused of plotting against the government with the opposition.
