At least 16 were killed during an encounter between government forces and an autonomy movement in the eastern departments of Bolivia.
This has started after the Bolivian President Evo Moraled declared that he will find a way to distribute the wealth of the eastern Bolivian departments. The eastern departments have natural gas deposits, hence the wealth,
Morales has blamed the US for the uprising. The White House dismissed this accusation as 'baseless.'
